The All Progressives Congress, APC, has dragged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, under the watchful eye of a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, testing the commissions' arranged review of Senator Dino Melaye, the congressperson speaking to Kogi West senatorial area in the National Assembly, without managing him reasonable hearing.
Different offended parties for the situation are Alhaji Haddy Ametuo, Shaibu Osune, S.T. Adejo, Yahaya Ismail, Isah Daniel, Chief Gbenga Asagun, Ahovi Ibrahim, Ghali Usman, Isa Abubakar, I.Molemodile, Abubakar Adamu and Daniel Sekpe, administrator and primary officers of APC in Kogi State.
Different offended parties for the situation are Alhaji Haddy Ametuo, Shaibu Osune, S.T. Adejo, Yahaya Ismail, Isah Daniel, Chief Gbenga Asagun, Ahovi Ibrahim, Ghali Usman, Isa Abubakar, I.Molemodile, Abubakar Adamu and Daniel Sekpe, administrator and primary officers of APC in Kogi State.
The offended parties are imploring the court to decide: "Regardless of whether upon an appropriate elucidation of the arrangements of Sections 65 (2) (b), 68 (1) (g) and 69 of the 1999 Constitution (as altered), the main offended party's supported part, Senator Melaye, to the Senate is not qualified for a reasonable hearing before the procedure of his review as thought about by the arrangements of the aforementioned area 69 of the 1999 Constitution (as changed) is started or initiated.
"Regardless of whether by the arrangements of Sections 68 and 69 of the 1999 Constitution (as changed), Senator Melaye, the offended parties gathering's supported part to the Senate can be truly reviewed from the Senate upon an invalid request of introduced to the director of INEC.
"Regardless of whether the procedure of review of Senator Melaye by a supported individual from the offended parties party as conceived by the arrangements of segment 69 of the 1999 constitution (as revised) can be legitimate and appropriate in light of an appeal to purportedly marked by invented people, dead people, people who are not individuals from Kogi West senatorial area or voting public and with the same and comparative hand composing having a place with a couple of people.
"Regardless of whether despite a deficiency or less the quantity of the enlisted and qualified voters who supposedly marked the request of as opposed to the arrangements of the area 69 (an) of the constitution, the procedure of review of Senator Melaye can truly and appropriately be initiated under the arrangements of segment 69 of the 1999 constitution (as changed)."
They are therefore requesting that the court announce that the appeal to exhibited to the Chairman of INEC for the review of Senator Melaye, the offended parties supported individual from the Senate is illicit, unlawful, wrongful, illegal, invalid, void and of no impact at all.
