The University of Ilorin SU Executives in company of Faculty Presidents as well as senators today met with the University management to discuss important issues affecting students on campus.
Amongst issues raised were WiFi, toilets,Gns312 among others and Dutips was able to get major highlights from the meeting.
1. The manager of the Hostels on campus, Mbo has promised that hostels will be renovated within one week.
2. Gns 312 test will not hold on the 14th of June but proposed date is currently 23rd of June which is still under consideration.
3. Students who haven't been able to register for GNS 312 can proceed to complete their registration at the GNS office and the GNS IT officer will always assist students who have issues with their registration.
4. Students should not go to the University Library for the purpose of Library registration as 100-300level students have been automatically registered and their school ID card alone can give them access to the Library now. The Library has now moved from Manual to Digital registration. Meanwhile, The University Library is still considering how to deal with the issue of 400,500 and 600 Level Library Card registration and the agreed measure for communication will be communicated later.
5. The Time For GNS 312 class has now been shifted from 5pm-7pm from tomorrow because of the ongoing Ramadan.
6. As regards Faculty of Education park, The DVC management stated that the University cannot have two parks and students should be encouraged to exercise.
7. More classrooms to be built soon as contractors have been awarded and will commence work on sites soon.
8. GSE 202 Textbooks are now available and have been distributed to the various faculty representatives where students can collect them from.
